It's that time of year again! My family and I look forward to this event every year since our son's diagnosis. Friends of ours were kind enough to bring us along to our first walk event after we got the diagnosis and it has become such a valuable resource. Below you can find the blurb about what Autism York does in their own words, but to us the biggest impact is meeting families like ours and being able to socialize without judgement. It's also the resources they share with us that make our lives easier.

While this team is named after our son, Kaemon, who in this process we nicknamed SourPatch kid because first he's sour and then he's sweet......over the years it has become a team for anyone with Autism really. We as a family meet people in the community or at work who are struggling after getting a diagnosis for their children, and we invite them into this world with us. 

Please join not just my family but our work family and family friends in not just celebrating Autism but in raising money for Autism York so that they can continue to provide resources and events to families in need. 

Autism York sponsors many events and programs at low or no cost to families and individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder in our community.  These include monthly meetings, family social events, social groups for adults & teens with ASD, Resource and Transition Guides, Lending Library, information and awareness opportunities, and more!

All are made possible through tax deductible donations to Autism York.  The majority of the income raised each year to fund our Autism York events and programs comes from the annual Walk.  All money raised stays here to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in the York and surrounding areas.  Thank you for generous support!
