?THE SIKORA CIRCUS KINDNESS CREW? is honored to participate and raise funds for the 2023 Walk for Autism in York!  Born with a chromosome anomaly and later diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum with severe learning deficits, we are walking for our daughter, Madison and for all of the Autism Warriors & Autism Advocates out there who refuse to give up and are fighting to break the "AUTISM = DIFFERENT" stigma, that gives being different a negative connotation.  What's so wrong with being different?  Being different is a fantastic compliment, if you ask me -- it emphasizes your individuality, spotlights your extraordinary uniqueness and solidifies just how incredibly special you are.

Madison Sikora is a spunky 8 year old, one-of-a-kind, intelligent, sassy, talented, beautiful, kind hearted and compassionate 3rd grader who's favorite hobby of all time... is giving hugs, of course! A self proclaimed "hugger," Maddie will brighten your day with her big smile and silly antics, which wasn't always the case when she was younger.  Maddie was nonverbal, severely lacked "appropriate" developmental milestones and was overstimulated by all activity outside of our home... until she found her passion and love for the art of DANCE.  Dance has been Maddie's saving grace and has helped our girl blossom into a young lady we never thought possible.  Being crowned Miss Lancaster County Princess 2023 this past February has been quite the highlight for her, as she now has the opportunity to share her Autism journey and bring AUTISM & NEURODIVERSITY ACCEPTANCE to the forefront - all while doing acts of kindness and spreading her infamous "neverending optimism" & heart of gold throughout our community.

We'd love for you to walk with us, hand and hand, as we tear down the negative stigmas toward our Autism Warriors and demand AUTISM & NEURODIVERSITY ACCEPTANCE for all! In 2023, there is no tolerance for hate, no tolerance for bullying, no tolerance to complacency.  As an Autism Advocate, it is my job to ensure we are doing everything we possibly can to provide only the best for our children - and I refuse to give up.

Please consider supporting MADISON and ?THE SIKORA CIRCUS KINDNESS CREW? on Saturday, April 15th at the 2023 Walk for Autism in York, with a donation that will go directly toward AUTISM ACCEPTANCE initiatives and programs, as well as Autism research. No donation is too small - every dollar matters, every dollar makes a difference!

Thank you for your consideration and continued love & support for Madison and all of the perfectly imperfect, "different and owning it" Autism Warriors out there!  We see you and we love you. Xo

ABOUT 2023 Walk for Autism

Autism York sponsors many events and programs at low or no cost to families and individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder in our community.  These include monthly meetings, family social events, social groups for adults & teens with ASD, Resource and Transition Guides, Lending Library, information and awareness opportunities, and more!

All are made possible through tax deductible donations to Autism York.  The majority of the income raised each year to fund our Autism York events and programs comes from the annual Walk.  All money raised stays here to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in the York and surrounding areas.  Thank you for generous support!
